COVID-19 Wedding Postponements! What's a wedding photographer to do?
The only wedding I’ve been able to photograph this year so far was back in late February before the coronavirus pandemic was realized and the executive order was made by Michigan Governor, Gretchen Whitmer, to stay at home. Since then, all of our weddings to date have been postponed to later dates this year and 2021. To stay busy, I’ve written several new blog posts as well as ramped up my efforts with social media posts on Instagram and Facebook. If all goes well, we are hopeful that we will be back photographing weddings beginning in August!
So what should a wedding photographer do to stay sharp and ready for when the day finally comes to begin photographing real weddings again? For me, that’s easy! I’ve been photographing my two labradoodles everyday during the stay-at-order, and decided to take it to another level! Why not photograph a pretend wedding for our beloved Hazel and Lincoln? This probably is no surprise to any of you who know my humor, my wife, Beth, and how absolutely bonkers we are about our dogs! They literally are our children! So that’s what we did! We bought Hazel a wedding dress and Lincoln his own tuxedo! If you are looking for pet or people costumes, we found these at Rubie’s Costume Company online. Check out the slideshow below if you need a few minutes to get in a laugh and scroll down to see some of the highlight photos! If anyone reading this is a potential couple looking to have a scaled down wedding while we still have restrictions in the months ahead, maybe this will inspire you! Give us a call or text us at 866-UNPOSED (867-6733) or simply click on “contact” above or simply click here to inquire about our availability and our special packages we can offer you until the restrictions are lifted…
